Replaced my stocker at 48,000 miles because I was going to do meth. Pedal feels stiffer but it holds 400+wtrq no problem and I'm at 81,000 miles. I have experienced no lockout issues over 7000rpms and I don't launch it at all. I want it to last forever and it should. I picked one up for $400 and kept the oem flywheel. No regrets here. Hope this helps..

Exedy twin if you have the money. ACT if you don't. 99% of the problems with the act are caused by incorrect install or poor adjustment.

had a brand new ACT HDSS clutch kit and ACT Prolite flywheel installed this weekend and I LOVE IT. The pedal pressure feels exactly like stock, the engagement feels very good, theres actually LESS chatter than my stock (old one was actually pretty noisy.. so I was kinda dreading how it would sound since people say HDSS is kinda loud). The pedal height is perfect. The flywheel I can feel a difference and love it. Definitely not too light for daily/street driving. If you know how to drive stick than the light flywheel is NOT an issue like I thought I might've encountered from reading posts and vendor recommendations.

Bottom line I have ZERO regrets and have never enjoyed stop and go traffic as much in my life lol

I love my HDSS. I'm just curious as to what is different between the new 8 and old 7 kits though. MB7HDSS and the new MB8HDSS.

I would get a stainless clutch line though. It definitely helps a lot. I just got mine, and now I wished I would have installed it at the same time as the clutch.

Don't forget to adjust it too.

No problems here. This is my 3rd clutch though. The original and an oem replacement lasted about 10k-15k each on my driving. With the usual bolt ons i've managed to make this thing last from 28xxx to 56xxx. Very happy not having to change out my clutch every year now. This thang take abuse and launches like a dream

For normal use, the ACT HDSS is fine. I used mine for 40k miles, but it fell apart in the bell housing when a douschebag launched it on his dyno doing a drag-sim. I bet it would've lasted much longer.

Exedy Twin HD user now.. nice clutch too

originally i was dead set on the mb7-hdss however i ended up getting an exedy stage 2 instead. I called like 3-4 shops that sold both and they all recommended the exedy stage 2 over the mb7-hdss.

I love mine! I have the HDSS + ACT flywheel
I've put 20K+ miles on it so far and it's still strong. Easy to drive and great pedal feel....ZERO issues with this setup
I would def buy this clutch and flywheel combo again!

I love when people talk bad about the clutch and they never owned a act before ..lol.The problems people get when they install them is they do it on a jack in their driveway or parking lot and u can't properly aline the clutch right..

Then they use the stock flywheel which heats up fast and gets hot spots rather quickly. The best way to do this setup is buy the clutch combo kit with flywheel and install it at a good shop break it in the right way 1,000miles no wot or launching and then make sure the pedal is not to low cause if it is it will cause lockout issues due to not enough pedal travel....

Been running my HDSS for a while now. Not a single issue so far. Very quiet, pedal stiffness is close to stock, and never had a lockout issue. Just have it installed by a reputable shop who work with evos and can adjust it properly.

I had mine installed by Iveytune. Cant go wrong.
