I'm getting no fuel pump priming!

I'm not with my car right now but I don't think the SES light was coming on when i put the key in the on position. Does it not come on if you have a SES light already and the car is off?

Could the ecu just die like that?
Yes, I did do my own Defi install but could that cause the ecu to die after a whole day of driving?

EDIT: I also noticed boost spiking to 20 LBS for moments, can the stock pump handle that?

Check your fuse panel in your engine compartment. Someone locally here in MN had that happened to them. Found out it was a fuse that was blown.

 

Aight. I looked real quick but it was just too cold and dark.
I'll go back in the morning when there's more light and it's warmer hopefully!

I just hope no one touches my baby when she's freezing her *** off and I'm sleeping in my cozy bed

Awesome, glad it was an easy fix.

 

That most likely means something is miscorrectly installed. I would go back through your wiring of what you tapped and where you put yours grounds. What fuse was it?

 

it was number 8 in the big fuse box in the hood.
what is that for?

I think it may be because i was over boosting and don't have boost cut on my tune and the stock fuel pump overloaded the relays which overloaded the fuse.

 

It not over boost.. it must be wiring u set up defis or something connect power and it overload power current and it cause blew fuse.. Like i did to my Defi.. and i blew 10amp all time.. and I put 20amp and it work fine all way

 

That means they are wired wrong. Defi's pull less than 5 amps of current, I have a set myself. Sticking bigger fuses in is a bandaid and a bad one at that. When a fuse doesn't blow electronics get broken and things can start on fire...seen it happen many times, mostly in audio installs.

The Defis were fine, we figured out that the o2 sensor grounded itself and blew the fuse, easy fix

So the 02 sensor caused the fuel pump fuse to blow?

I had this same issue today, my twin pumps just shut off on the freeway, thought I was out of gas. They get their own power from the battery directly and are activated from the factory fuel pump wire.

I believe mine was fuse 8 as well, was it a 15amp fuse?
