T3 Twin scroll turbo?

I don't know if you can help me, I post it in NASIOC and I got flame to death some maybe you guys are little nicer. I have 2.5L subby so lets pretend is a 2.3L-2.4L evo

I want to run a twin scroll setup on my car, but I have no idea which turbo will get me my desire goals. My tuner told me that he doesn't know much about t3 turbos but he told me to look in the 52-58 lb range and a .82 AR.

My goals is the fastest spool possible with a decent top end and a turbo that makes 400whp on 93oct. I was think about the precision 6262 T3 twin scroll but I have no idea how it will spool and is a little big for my goal.

Thanks

IF you want to go twin scroll and flow that much air go with a t4 twin scroll based turbo, the t3 twin scroll options for our displacement/power needs are not really adequate up top.

I know but to me is more important spool, and this kit is way cheaper compare to the Full-Race T4 TS kit

I think that u dont need a T3 TS setup at this range
6262 produces more than 65 lbs
Good option for your goals are FP RED & FP GREEN HTA: LOOK HERE

6262 single scroll will pull 19psi at around the 4250rpm mark on a subie..... Its a great turbo but if all you want is 400whp and quick spool you should go for something a little smaller. Are you going to run meth? cams etc.... what will be in the rest of your setup?

fp reds are so cheap for your car and have been out for the longest time, why not go with that. Nothing is going to spool quicker than a stock appearance turbo.

Yeah, we should of sent this guy back to Nasioc.

The answer to his question is a stock location/placement turbo but apparantly he is too cool for that and needs a t3 twinscroll setup which will be horribly restrictive on a setup like his.

I am sorry Scorke but it seems that you have no knowledge about Subaru's. Stock location suck period, they are laggy, is hard to installed big stock lotation turbos.
I wish the subaru's FP red was anything like the Evo FP red, the subaru FP red fully spools by 4000-4400 rpm makes about 450whp on pump gas and we can only rev to 7000-7500 on the stock engine. Is quite difficult to run 10s with a FP red

It has been proven many time and everybody in the suby community knows that ratated setup are better than stock location turbos, even single scroll. So thats why I wanted to keep this question as general question on turbos T3. There is some guy that posted logs of 6262 single scroll hitting full boost at 4250 on fourth gear and at 4500 in third. Do you guys think the 6262 twinscroll T3 will spool faster?

thaks

these guys are correct if you want 400whp on 93 oct. no meth the 6262 is rather large and laggy. You are going to be MUCH happier with either
A) stock location 3076 or 35R and a 1.5 scroll set up (mid range price)
B) rotated twin scroll T4 flanged 35R or s300sx kit (top end price)
C) larger stock location turbo even on stock header/manifold will make 400 it will just take longer. (CHEAPEST)

I'm sure you will be very happy with what ever you decide on though 400 in an AWD street car makes for great fun!

regards, eric

I am saying 400 whp on pump because is the max that we think we can push on the stock engine being reliable. I can drop some pistons in to hold 500, I also have access to E85. I read some of your threads on NASIOC and it say that your 35R can out sool a 30R single scroll, so just wonder what will the 6262 will do on twinscroll if that guy spool the single scroll version by 4500. How much do you think I will make on pump gas with 6262 500whp?
