I just got my turbo XS rfl bov installed today and i found that the sound that it makes is different from what I have heard on other cars. Right now it sounds like a long flutter. I dont like that sound, i was more of a woosh. please help

I am working on the same issue, I think the spring is to tight. I am running the Type H and I am using no spacers and getting a small amount of flutter at around 5psi or lower. Do you have it constantly?

You have any stalling issues with the rfl bov? Just installed that bov and my 03 Evo wants to stall at stops.

Try messing with the spring.

You guys need to be tuned differently to run a VTA BOV. It confuses the computer thinking that the air is still in the system.

Try messing with the springs settings to be properly adjusted to your boost pressures.

With a correct tune you can run VTA on MAF with no problem. Make sure your vac line running to the BOV is not pinched. Also might want to make a dedicated line for the bov vac source with no t's and make sure its ID is plenty. If your getting some surge, first check vac line as i mentioned above, then possibly try a lighter spring. Some surge at low PSI is no biggie. If all else fails, try a better bov. Haven't heard that many great stories with the turboxs.
