Seperating the T-case????

Ok i just pulled the motor out of my 03 evo 5spd to rebuild it due to an idiot brother. Now ive never worked on the awd setup before and that is where i am having some issues, im having difficulty removing the T-case so i can remove the Transmission. I have looked around for a guide, but havn't really found anything helpfull, so if anyone can give me some insight on how to do this or a link to wear i can find out how that would be very helpfull.
Thanks in advance.

Just disconnect it and hang it up. You dont need to pull it out to get the trans out.

You'll have to remove the shaft that connects the transmission to the tcase with a puller. You can make one or be creative.

That is a very useful link. Basically a slide hammer will remove the output shafts. One or two pulls should do the trick. Now there are six bolts holding the t-case to the trans. All 17mm. Without air tools this may be a problem breaking that factory seal. A breaker bar with an extention will do the trick. You do not have ACD so the banjo bolt with that system will not be in the way. Out comes the t-case with a little help from a pry bar. Don't lose the small o-ring in between the t-case and the transmission. Good luck!
