No, this isn't my first E85 EVO. I've tuned quite a few and I've ran it in two of my own EVO's.

Dave what type of work gets done on the combustion chamber of your cylinder heads? My lovely Magnus ported head seemingly had no work done to the valve bowls if I assessed it correctly with my amateur eyes.

My buddy got a cylinder head from you as well but I don't recall inspecting it closely.

Our combustion chambers are matched to the bore, every part of it is smoothed and blended. There are absolutely no high spots or rough spots in the chamber. This greatly helps with detonation. The valve bowls are also blended and smoothed. There is a lot of flow to be gained in the bowl.

I will be posting pictures of our head work in this thread.

David another quick?

I know in the past you guys never recommended the BF272's on any turbo smaller than a GT30 series turbo before, so what made you switch from your original plan of using the HKS 280's?

Thanks in advance.

I think that the Red's compressor flows more air than the 3076 does? Or, doesn't it?

Yes, it does... so the BF272s would definitely fit into this build nicely.. since it is a GT30 or bigger turbo

Yes, although the Red is a stock framed turbo the actual flow data is GT30+. Thanks for asking.

David I think you need to rename this thread " Project Red"

What exhaust manifold are you going with on this stock setup?

Great idea Dave!!

This is a build-up that 90% of "average Joe" evom'ers can relate to. The upgrades are right in line with what most people are comfortable with on their daily drivers.

Many of us will be watching this thread closely.

Good luck with the project!!
