to whomever was complaining about decel noise...keep in mind that an after market twin disc clutch could generate such a noise.
also..i hope this rear diff solves my issue..because if it didnt..I DONT KNOW WHERE ELSE TO LOOK...perhaps wheel bearings..
also guys..keep in mind that the whine is very hard to detect where its coming from because the drive shaft tends to transfer the noize :S
will definately keep you posted on the update once i have it.

Most mechanics at a Mitsu dealership have been giving me the brush off since they are not fully aware what the problem is. Exercising my warranty have also been difficult lately.
I did ask them if we could test drive another MR IX to check for subtle differences in regards to the noise. They gave it a go and will be test driving one next week on Tuesday.
I will definitely give you all a heads up. Just wish me luck that the other vehicle is in proper working condition and no clutch modifications.
Once again, the main focus of this thread is whine w/ stock clutch under deceleration.
Make sure as well that the noise is similar to the YouTube video posted earlier.
Oh, if your from SoCal and drives a stock MR VIII or IX without whine issues, pm me if your willing to go with me to the dealership with your vehicle. Pm is greatly appreciated.

i drive the shtuff out of it like most evo owners, but i respect the driveline... no slamming gears... no dumping the clutch... ive launched it ab 10-15 times since ive had it... but every launch i roll out on the clutch... no sidestepping or anything stupid... i know that if the wheels dont spin the driveline takes the beating... ive never shifted without clutching... ive taken it to 160 on the speedo once, and usually to the top of 4th on runs...
i have injen intake with pipes, full 3" exhaust, evo 9 turbo w/ 3" o2 housing, and a flash tune on 20 psi from JestR tuning... i launch at barely over 8psi... like 8 point sumthin...
i drive on gravel alot, and get it sideways when it rains, but as far as abuse, i dont think i abuse the car...
gona try and get a 17mm wrench today... i have 1 bolt left on the rear end that i cant even get to with a swivel on a socket... im stuck... but ill let you guys know ASAP
p.s. Check out my vid... this is on my stock slipping clutch... new clutch since then... held on the launch, but started slipping in 3rd... this is how i drive my car... notice the slow shift times... i baby it...
