Post Best aftermarket Turbo Set-up

With all these new turbos coming out I thought it would be nice to see what people think and what would be the best turbo on a 2.0 for street/strip. Being that most of us use our cars for DD.

Add your thoughts and why you would go with that turbo.

It really depends on how you plan to drive the car and (most importantly in these times) what you can afford.

BBK or Red. I'd go with the BBK because I want fast spooling and 450 whp on pump gas with a conservative tune.

Also 450 is weak

Unless you have a built block and can run or are willing to run high boost on pump gas I think any of these turbos might be a bit to laggy, that's just my opinion though, I know mellon had good luck with the HTA3582 .63 and i wanted to go that route but I preferred to go with the new Tomei Arms that makes more power than a green and spools faster. I only want around 420 on pump anyways and close to 480-490 on race gas, that should be enough for low 11's or high 10's. Good luck with your choice.

My vote is for a 62mm turbo; HTA86 or PTE 6262.

6262 or HT3582=fun on the street liveable lag for DD but shines on the track.

A lot of people are saying the 6262 is the way to go for the street/strip set up. Im sure it can be adapted to many other setups to.

Mike at AWD Motorsports records speak for themselves going 8.98 with a T3 based turbo making 700whp.

I say 35r with all supporting mods and alky. I had great luck with it on my car. I ran 27psi on pump gas and daily drove it. I aslo had no problem beating low 11sec cars.
