I talk to him almost once a week. Known him almost 20 years. He has made some changes for the six speed gear set. I don't think it will be released till summer, maybe fall. I asked him if its a for real go and will be for sale. He said absolutely. Has a lot of time and money in what he has done so far on the six speed and wants to make sure everything is correct and to his standards before releasing. That means both materials and the gearing combination.
He is busy thats for sure.

That is awesome news!!!! I'm going to start saving up for it now

I am very interested in this, I need a rebuild of my 6 speed and would like to make it as strong as it possibly can be. I've gone through this entire thread and seen that there is no concrete information about ANY built 6 speed here, let alone TRE's version. From what I can tell there's a whole lot of people who would like to know cold hard facts about drivability, durability, and how it stacks up against the 5 speed as far as mph and hp figures, including myself. Concrete information people, if you've got some please post it, we'll eat it up.

I have had the 5 speed tranny installed for 4 months. I only have about 2000 miles on it due to other issues with the car being down.
I got the 2.5 exchange (with the evo 9 1st gear) which worked out really well since there was no down time.
Some say it is hard to get ahold of him but i had no problems and he was more than willing to spend time on the phone answering questions.
I have the act extreme with the street disc and prolight flywheel.
I tried a short shifter and did not like it on my stock transmission so i went back to stock shifter and that is what i am currently using for this transmission
as i stated before it shifts way better than my factory transmission did at high rpm's. at low speeds i just shift it a lil slow and it keeps it smooth. its a lil notchy. but then again what evo tranny isn't
