Don't know about 6 speeds, but my full tilt TRE 5 speed has endured more take offs and landings than the Concord ever did. It's still going strong with probably mileage over 50k on the build!!! Jon IS hard to get ahold of, but the most friendly and helpful guy in his business. I went with him after calling around. Jack's was not around at the time, and I don't know his work.

Other than Quaife... I don't know anyone in the Import market who offer a warranty per se under competition or "racing" conditions.

Looks like the interest in this is picking up quite a bit. I was thinking about a 5spd swap, but with this option and me not making a lot of power, this seems like the way to go by far. If anyone does end up going with this 6spd, please post all the info you can!

I just got a 6 speed and going to have TRE build it. I hope they do have this gear option some of you speak of.

Castrol SynTorq LT is a perfectly fine fluid for the 6 speed. It is the same weight as the Super DiaQueen (75W-85) and is a GL-4 full synthetic. I have used it on my MR since about 12,000 miles. I now have 104,000+ miles on my car with no problems. Maybe you are talking about another Castrol fluid.

I just got off the phone with Jon@TRE and talked to him about the new gears. He said it is going to cost around $1500 and you get a stronger 3rd and 4th and a final drive similar to a IX 5 speed with an hks 4.11 final drive. Said the transmission should hold the same torque as a built 5 speed.

That is the most awesome-est thing I've heard in awhile.

I heart my 6 speed.

I wish I can find that thread that compared all the gear ratios with their mph. I want to see the mph per gear on a IX 5 speed with 4.11. I have a 6 speed with a junked 3rd and 4th so not going with the new gears would be the wrong move. It is just really going to hurt to adding another $1500 on top of a rebuild and twin clutch plus install.

after seeing the 4.11 final drive for $1100 the $1500 doesn't seem that bad.

Sounds great, once we hear your review I am sure that TRE will be seeing a lot of 6spds. Time for me to start saving! Let us know the price brakedown too!

Wow this is awesome news, so the whole rebuild cost 1500 or is 1500 plus the regular 900?
