How long have you had your car at 600+hp? I think ill be around 550whp im hoping my 6 speed will last the summer if i don't beat on it to much... It seems like when a gear does let go its from a beating on the car constantly.

You need to contact John Shepherd at Sheptrans.

That is your problem...

Yes he works on the 6sp also.

BUMP for update on this new gearset!!!! It worries me every day that I will blow mine up and not have money to repair it so I wont do any more road course driving until I can afford to replace it. The cost of a built 5 speed and all of the conversion parts needed plus install hurts my stomach to think about, but re-building the 6 with strong gears is the news I have been hoping and praying for!!!!!!

The last time I talked with SHEPTRANS they were not doing more than their 6spd rebuild plus other misc items (their RSF? process etc).

Anyone who has questions I suggest actually picking up the phone and calling jon as he never responded to my emails prior to our phone conversation. I never asked him availability but only price and when I asked him that question he said he is working on it and that is the expected value. I am sure the gears are available now since he said when you are ready we can get it started. I am sending my transmission out in the next couple of weeks after this semester is over so I will update you guys on my status. As far as specific questions go about the product only one person can answer that and it is Jon@TRE himself. For all you 6 speed owners asking about other company's with gear upgrades I can tell you that nobody else has tried making it stronger. Jon@TRE is the only one I have found.

How many track days does your car see and how do you drive. Nothing is indestructible.

How hard is it to ask for a receipt?

As a vendor, I have now seen very sketchy behavior from what appears to be customers of competing shops complaining about work randomly. Now, I am not saying this is occurring here, but random comments about how crappy a certain vendors products are (now) makes me suspicious.

Not to mention there is absolutely no qualifying these statements (mods, abuse, horsepower, etc.).
