Not to mention there is absolutely no qualifying these statements (mods, abuse, horsepower, etc.).
No knowledge of this particular behavior in this instance, but if found out here or anywhere on Evom, it WILL NOT be tolerated!!!

My personal dealings with TRE have been fantastic. Also, Jon's service AFTER he rebuilds for you is next to impossible to beat! I'm at 80k and it's about time to send mine back in for some "freshening".

Jon at TRE has been busy as hell lately. While this is never excuse to get back to customers, he has gotten back to me in every instance. I leave emails, w/ what number to best reach me at, he even called me at work to give me status on my rebuild.

I am currently running his rear Maxx Lock diff, and I am awaiting for my 04 Evo RS TC to arrive in the next week.

I am very happy with the service Jon had provided for me.

We have had less than stellar results on multiple occasions with this company.

ShepTrans has yet to let us down.

Lack of communication, phone calls unanswered, voicemails unreturned, 30+ days turnaround times etc.

We gave them another shot after many years since the previous burn to see if anything had changed and to our dissapointment, they failed us again. Nothing has changed in a decade of service issues with TRE.

Maybe it's the customer

I've never had any problems with TRE, and have dealt with Jon for nearly 7 years and owned 6 TRE transmissions for DSMs and Evos.

To the OP -- even without a receipt, which was your fault, Jon has a full list of transmissions he has worked on, and the transmissions are numbered after service, so if you had contacted him with your alleged problem instead of whining here, you'd already have been taken care of.

Is anyone else sick and tired of people starting their "warranty" issues on this board before they've even contacted the vendor? That should be grounds for a permanent ban for wasting bandwidth.

So the question hasn't been answered is shep making a gear set for the 6 speed? Because if he is only doing rebuilds then are only option is TRE.

Last time I checked Shep doesn't do anything with the 6 speeds.

That's probably more likely than not... Jon of TRE has never failed to contact me back with in a few days at most (esp after the "boxes" arrived), and has even offered a stellar deal for the "freshening" of the full tilt Tranny/X-fer case that I had him build me way back when.

Called Shep once, and I am done... end of story. However, MANY people who actually go fast (and not just talk about it) have tried BOTH companies and been equally pleased. So regaurdless of who you use, you're in good hands it seems.

So! from this point on, anyone bashing EITHER company without FACTS to back it up will get the "points hammer" if not some time off.
