TRE Transmissions.

Hey guys, This thread is for the MR Guys. So basically Ever Since I got my MR I've wanted to make it a Stronger Transmission so i wouldn't have to Swap it for a 5 speed. Im sure a lot of you Seen this before but Did any one acctually have TRE build their 6 Speed?

This Is what im talking about, their 6 Speed Service:

http://www.teamrip.com/TRE_6SPEED_EV...20SERVICE.html

Has anyone have Succes with this tranny?
Any issues?
How much power does it hold?
How durable is it?

If you have any expiriance with the 6 Speed Work Please share.

Thank you

-Kris

I would definitely recommend calling and talking with John. He is extremely knowledgable and is very much to the point so you will get your answers as needed. I just sent a rear differential to him for rebuilding to 1.5 way.

I've had nothing but great work and customer service from John at TRE. He usually always gets back to emails and phone calls.... I hope all is well up there.

He has been really busy with Evos and a few other makes of transmissions, leave a message he should call you back. I have had several of his 5 speeds and they were great, Jon knows his sh*t!

I have a spare 6spd I'm sending him to rebuild. It's sitting in a box that he sent me in my garage, awaiting for pickup.

Just need to have him send the call ticket for it.

They are hard to get in touch with, but he eventually answers emails. Its worth the wait. I've had two trans built by them, one for my GS-T and another for my 1G GSX and both worked great.

This is from the webpage:

"As of January 2009 I am back in college to work on my master's degree. All transmission related correspondence will require you to email me. Please send an email, we check them frequently throughout the day. Make sure that when sending an email that you include your contact number so I can call you back."

I spoke to Shep and he told me that they do not do much for the 6 speed, just little things maybe the REM process. I wish they did have a 6 speed Service
