how to tell if i have a walbro pump installed

i recently bought a used IX and im just trying to find out a little more info on it. lately ive been hearing a whine coming from the back of my car. now i KNOW its the fuel pump, what i dont know is if its the walbro or not.

in my searching, all ive seen people say is "if it whines, its the walbro" but that doesnt fully clear it up for me seeing as my old car had a slight whine to the pump and it was completely stock.

so is the stock evo fuel pump COMPLETELY quiet? if it isnt, and i decide to take out the fuel pump to check it out, will the walbro have any markings or serial or model numbers on it?

thanks

I can usually hear mine if you close your eyes and concentrate hard with no music. I know it sounds stupid but thats how I tell because I have a pretty loud exhaust so at idle I have to channel the exhaust vibration out. Also, recently I noticed that if you start you car, close the door and squat next to your rear driver side wheel you can here the buzz/walbro whine. Hope that helps

If you run your car with rear seats off you can hear better. When driven hard, it'll make a lot of sucking and slurping sound

The walbro is much louder then the stock pump. I can hear mine just standing next to my car while it's idling. But I would pull it out and check just to be sure like others have said. It's only 4 screws and 4 bolts once you pull the rear seats out.

my stock pump and walbro looked the same. The only clear difference was the walbro one had walbro engraved on the actual pump.
