I dont like having the sending unit right by the oil filter. Can I take a some braided line and move it somewhere more out of the way? Sounding very much like a noob question, so move if need be. thanks

you can actually put the sending unit in the head behind the thermostat. There is an allen head thread plug in the oil passage there... take it out, put yours sending unit in its place and there you go! Its a really good location for it
