PCV Valve

I just went to autozone to buy a new pcv valve because Ive never replaced it and Im thinking this is what is causing all my oil problems. The thing is they didnt have the pcv valve for the evo so I just bought one for the lancer instead. Will this one work or no? If not where can I get a pcv valve. Im eventually goin to do a catch can but for now I just want a pcv valve.

I would imagine that the PCV for the lancer is different then the one for the evo. Two different engines. If someone know else wise then I will stand corrected. And to answer you question as to where you could buy the right PCV valve have you thought about the stealership?

Pep Boys usually has the Purolator PV1043 on the shelf. If not, just order the Fram FV311 from Checker. It will take a day at most to reach the store from a warehouse or other location within El Paso.

AutoZone does have one... it's just not listed correctly in their computers. Take the old one in with you, and go to the 4 foot section where the PCV valves and fuel filters are... you'll find it.

Thank you guys for the post and answer... I need 1 as well... Just a little add on, he mentioned he would put a catch can but just wanted the pcv valve. How do you install a catch can? Does it do the same as the pcv? sorry guys for the rook question just not very familiar with this valve or catch can
