I would try another idle air control valve. That was my problem. Car was running fine(fairly stock). I chose to build motor for more power and from the time i first cranked it up it never idled. I carefully stored all my parts and did a very clean wiring job on everything. Replaced the IACV once I refused to drive the car until it was fixed and what do you know it worked. Couldn't be happier.

Do keep in mind there are two different IAC's as well. Be sure they look the same.

Regardless it sounds like you got a bunk IAC. There are many diff cars that they work from, just search ebay. I payed 40 shipped for the last one I purchased.

What are your mid and low fuel trims?

Yea I'll have to go and see him soon about this. I don't have evoscan and don't know my fuel trims but my gas mileage has always been pretty good. It's just the initial start up.

As far as my iac valve, it had 10,000 miles on it off an evo 9 if I recall.

The idle screw could be in bad shape I guess, I always figured the meth burned the iac valve up instead.

I think I'm going to swap mafs next and see if that does anything.
