I think my tank is broken, tried to fill it once but it just leaked all over the floor, haha.

Same exact thing happened to me. Pretty sure the tanks is cracked because it all just leaks on the floor. Doesn't matter how much I put in.

Yeah, we both live in colder areas so i'm betting the people before we had our cars put water in and let it freeze.

I always used washer fluid in my 03 so it wouldnt freeze but it did leak all over the ground when I filled it. It seemed like you could only fill it 3/4 of the way. If I remember correctly though you couldnt really see the tank so I just filled till it overflowed and then watched some of it leak out. oh well.

As mdesi said, use washer fluid to prevent freezing in the winter, that reservoir design is not my favorite, as its kind of trial and error to fill (when it starts spilling you know its full). The IX dropped the sprayer since the hydraulic reservoir for the dif. occupies that real estate. On a hot summer day, for us 8's the sprayer is bound to provide at least a small benefit to intercooler.

The fill line and the overflow tube is well below the top of the reservoir. If you fill the reservoir to the top it will run out of the overflow tube until the fluid level is at the fill line.

The Sprayer tank was located on the 03-04 models where your ACD bits currently reside, the switch resides in front of the cup holders, and the sprayers are on the front bumper. You IX has none of the above. Don't worry though it's useless

Has someone actually tested the effectiveness of the sprayers? I have an '05, just curious...
