ewg setup???

just wondering if any company out there makes an external wastegate setup for the evo like grimmspeeds for subarus. (a header flanged for an ewg that still works on the stock turbo and comes with an actuator block off kit)

anything like this ever made for the evo?

ams tbe, injen ic pipes & intake, mbc, aem wideband. nothing big yet. i have a maxford header that im getting reinforced right now that will go on. what are you using to block on the internal wg actuator? if i can figure that out then ill just get a ewg flange welded on the header too.

for the few people that do run ewg on stock turbo all you have to do is just use the factory wg flapper thats in there and just weld it shut... but if you decide to go tha way like me and run the wg on your header then you gota make sure you tap into both chambers of the exhaust

Its fair easier to just get an external wastegate dump - like the EPM 02 housing.

that is very true it is muchhhhhhhh easier but from what ive heard and seen IMHO they dont sound alike the ewg sounds much bettr... its a lot of work for minimal to maybe no gains but for me it'll be worth it... if not then it comes off oo well fun to try

Very interesting. So it sounds like it's not very beneficial to external gate a stock turbo.
You get great gains from a vf39 or even a td04. (Subaru turbos)

ETS does a double-flanged header for stock turbos. One WG flange for each divided pair of runners. Of course you'll need two external gates. I saw a pic of it on here and it is a beautiful piece. I am not sure if anyone on here is actually running one however.
