hello everyone i am new to this forum and i just purchased my first evo. Its a 03 evo 8. i got it for 4500 with a blown motor. i bought a stock swap to put it in everything went fine with the drop. I put a little over 800 miles on the motor. the next day i got in the car and i started to drive got to 15 mph and it started to knock. i pulled over and checked all the fluids and everything was fine there was no oil light or anything. i am really at a lost. can anyone help me. the company i bought the motor from says that i have to pull it back out repacked it and shipped it back to them on my dollar. would anyone know what would have caused this. I never redlined it nor raced it. thats why i am so confused.

Where was this on the 8,000 dollar repair bill when my motor blew and Mitsu decided after the fact that they weren't covering it under warranty? I know it wasn't 2000, that's awesome if 4g63s are only 2k now from the factory.

price is 10,000 and i just want to get rid of it now. the car only has 49,885 miles on it. brand new racing radiator, cross and slotted rotors new exhaust. the car still drives and everything but it has a knock once it warms up.

i know i had one back in the day with my honda si. but i have worked on them so i took care of it. i just havent really worked on a evo before and i dont want to do anything to make it worse. It looks pretty similar but i just want to get more info before i go trying it myself.
