Best Short throw Shifter??

Best Short throw Shifter??

I jus wanna buy a short throw shifter, jus wondering wat u guys think is the best one to buy, i only saw a few but if anyone has one and reccommends it that would be cool

I've heard that they mess up your trannny, I even bought one and chose not install it because of this.

It's not the short throw shifter that messes up the transmissions, it's the driver not compensating for the decreased time to initiate the shift and pressing the clutch early enough. Think about it, the transmission doesn't "know" how long the throw of the shifter is. I have a short throw shifter on my 05 Evo VIII and have had no problems what-so-ever.

it's somewhat true i broke my 3-4 fork due to shifting faster then the actual trans itself... just got make sure you feel it right i have the fidanza and like it

Kinda makes sense..this is just what i heard though and not from an unreliable source i might add.

Agreed. If you aren't a prefect driver, (which I am NOT! LOL) you do increase the likely hood that you could make a mistake and mess something up. I also have solid under hood bushings and shifter base bushings so if I mess up it could be bad. I am also a little older and have learned that is better to save the car and loose the race than break something from "over driving" and messing my car up.

True. I'd rather not take the risk with a short throw or powershifting and save my tranny, just to go a couple .10's faster in the 1/4.

I've had a WORKS throw shifter in my car for about 50k mi & love it..no problems what so ever.
