best turbo for 2.3L

currently doing my 2.3L build and ready to buy a turbo kit now. i was looking into a lot of different kits, just not sure on which turbo i should run since the car is street driven and not a track car. I wanna make 600whp on pump gas. i was looking into the GT35R, HTA35R, HTA37R and GT850R. Not really sure on which to choose. I want it to spool up in the 3500-4000rpm range. Just looking for opinions on which is my best choice.

really looking into the ams kits or the ets twin scroll manifold kit.

Thanks for the help in advance

ted.b is running a twinscroll T4 HTA3582R and says he gets 20 psi by 4000. he is on a 2.0L. you probably will need to go twinscroll in order to get the spool that you are looking for with your power goal

If you want to spool that early your best bet will be the Hta35 with the 63 hotside. It will make the car very torque. plus it holds power almost until the limit of the stroker. I tested one on my stroker and it held power until 7500. Considering it is not recommedned to rev a stroker past 8000 on pump, you would be good to go.

how much power do you think i would be making with the hta35 on 25psi?

i was looking at the ETS turbo kit, with the twin scroll equal length manifold, hta35r, twin wastegates. any input or knowledge on the ets kits? good or bad?

I would think the HTA86 or 6262 would be your best options. A 4088 also isnt a bad choice either.

I have a 2.3L with an AFI twinscroll 4094r setup on it.

If you want in the 600whp and 4000ish rpm spool range your gonna have to be in the 61-62mm family. I find it a very bad decision on precsion's part to not come out with the 6262 in a twin scroll. There is also a twin scroll 35r that would suit your needs send it off and get the hta treatment and you will have fun with that. Also is the option of the borgwarner s362. That is a twin scroll 62mm turbo.

We have a couple different options we can do for this setup.

HTA3582 w/ .82 A/R Exhaust Housing (I think this would be your best bet)

HTA3586 w/ .82 A/R Exhaust Housing (This will make more up top, but with a little longer spool time)

6262 w/ .82 A/R Exhaust Housing (We can't do twin scroll, but this turbo is proven and makes a ton of power.)

The 4088R is a decent turbo kit, we can do this in T4 twin scroll and get the thing to spool in the mid 4000 RPM range.

If you have any questions let me know! You can also give me a call!

Thanks,

Michael

My vote is for the ETS 4088 kit, your spool will only be 500 rpm later, makes power all the way to redline, and 4500rpm leaves plenty on the table as far as your powerband is concerned. If your car is street driven you wont want spool RELLY early, your fuel economy will be in the toilet.

A very close second and might even be first is the 6262.
