Turbine hotside ports bigger than gasket
I have a Turbo Hotside where the hotside exhaust inlet ports are bigger that the ports onm the manifold to hotside gasket. What should I do when I install the hotside to the manifold.
Should I enlarge the gasket to match it with the hotside and then port match the manifold to the same dimensions? Or should I leave it like it is. I fear that that if the gasket is smaller than the hotside that will create some turbulence that will hurt the spooling and turbo performance.

As I see it, you have two choices, bolt it up as is, or grind on the gasket. I don't know what to say. Oh yeah, a 3rd choice would be to hunt for another(used?) turbine housing. Whoever ported the housing fooqed it up.

The difference is about 1 ~ 2 mm on each side of the wall and in some spots it is almost 3mm. This is a picture I took of a template between the ported hotside and a stock hotside. The outer part is the bigger one and the inner side is stock.
I am thinking about making the gasket bigger and port the manifold to match it with the hotside.
