HKS 727's without cam gears?
So i'm waist deep in an unscheduled 2.3 build. It's back at the machine shop. While i wait i found a good deal on some HKS 272's. I'm goign to throw them in but i'm not sure if my budget can handle cam gears in time for the dyno. I know back in the day cam gears were considered absolutely manditory for aftermarket cams.
What's the thinking now? I'm not looking for MAX POWER! right away. Once I get an ARMS i'll re-tune with cam gears but that's probably a year out. I would like to drop in the cams before my first tune.

I heard the 2.3 was more tolorant of high duration cams so i figured what the hell... i had to get down to the quantum level to get more than 360 degrees though... The black holes it creates should not last more than a few nanoseconds, if the LHC guys can do it so can I!
