i have a 96 eclipse with EVO8 injectors in it, i recently have seen a set of injectors for a Subaru with the mod done. i think it should work fine, the EVO injectors have a plastic cap that goes over the end of the injector. i am not sure if the cap is suppose to help with the spray pattern or not, but the cap was broken off of 2 of my injectors when i got them. i just had my injectors out so i could replace the coils and took a good look at my injectors. they are a bit fatter then the Subaru injectors but other than that they look identical at the tip. unfortunately i didn't think to take any pictures but i need to run to the junk yard this weekend so i might snag an injector or 2 from some other cars just to see. i figure if the older eclipse injectors look the same and i can successfully cut the tip off it, than i would be willing to try my EVO injectors. the only thing you will need to do is either find a replacement pintle cap or get the injector seal for the Subaru.
