Buschur Racing/SAFC II installed

As you can see, the mods list is getting longer. I just installed the Apexi SAFCII. I purchased it through Buschur Racing. Thanks for the help Tym. The instructions that they provide are outstanding. I soldered the nine wires and set the Maps according to Bucshur. The boys at Buschur have done thier homework with these settings. WoW!

I didn't realize the car quit pulling in the top even with the EBC set at 19psi, this became evident with the new unit and the new feel. The SAFCII keeps the power coming on all they way untill you let of the gas. The butt dyno is saying YEAH!!! The unit smoothed the power out all the way to the limiter and poured on some more HP in from 3000rpm to 7000rpm. If you don't have one, do yourself a favor and get one soon of some type.

The unit will give you readings on throttle pos, RPM, +/- fuel air correction, volts(battery), mvolts(for air/fuel ratios), and knock sensor, and some more. If will fit underneath the stereo in small compartment. It took about 2 hours to install and program.

There are many people selling the apexi SAFCII out there, I would recomend getting it from Buschur. I would like to say again how the instruction helped make this a easy install and program. It took the guessing game out and saved me a trip to the dyno.

I know all you people out there are going to say, you can't use some else's numbers for you tune. This is true, but if you look at the mvolts (provided in the unit readout) in the rpm ranges and gears....you will see the settings are very close to perfect!

GREAT JOB BUSCHUR

Are the settings a secret? What are they? Come on, some of us have them too!

safc & safc2 settings.

I agree, some of us have safc and would like to know what the settings are! I know all about shop loyalty but what about brotherly love. Share the knowlege. Thanks.

Can you elaborate? How would one go about determining if the settings are "perfect" using the mvolts?

On a mvolt testing equipment you would want a reading as close to .920 for an A/F rating. The SAFC II has a sensor check with that readout. This is one of the things that was done before wideband o2 sensors came out. I can't go into anymore detail, because I am not an expert. This information was told to me by TurboDawg in a previous post. Search the post in EVO engine/ turbo/drivetrain titled BOV,Intake,Exhaust,Boost controll. He goes into a little more detail about it. This is comfirmed with the settings from Buschur.

If you will see the forum is sponsored by Buschur. I am a business man myself. This site is powered by the money of the sponsors. I could not release the info because I value the site to much for information. Buschur has spent time and money developing the settings for the SAFC II. It would be very uncool to give away there stuff. Spend the extra 20 bucks and get the easy to read install instructions plus the settings. If you already have a SAFC II then you may want to call them and see if you can get the settings for price. I am for free speech an all, but there is a line not to be crossed. I hope you can appreacate my posision.

First let me complement you on a nice ride. Looked at your page. Great mods and job well done on your installs. You remind me of me.

Now, for your response. I have never put in an eletronic device that spliced into the ECU. I didn't mind what so ever giving an extra dollar or two for the instructions that a child could figure out. I hold to my statement that Buschur Racing's instruction and setting are worth every penny. You may find the settings somewhere and the instructions too, but I don't mind supporting someone who supports us.

PS Keep up the great work on your ride!!
