Easiest way to remove copper o-ring

What is the easiest way to remove a copper o-ring from the block.

So no o-rings at all.

Any other sugguestions that dont reqiure me to machine my block that is still in the car.

Good question, replacing a copper o-ring can be a definate pain in the ***.

Not something thats often talked about is what methods people use to replace them.

I tried hitting them with some heat but that doesnt seem to be working and I am a little nervous about continuing to hit them with alot of heat in one specific area of the block.
