"Wow, pretty big discrepancy between those 2 dynos, 60 whp difference!! No joke about their dyno reading a bit low!!! So 400 on the CBRD dyno would be roughly 445-450 on a mustang maybe? Thats pretty F***ing sweet because it meets the power goal I was aiming for perfectly!!! "

i think info is getting a little mixed up... neither of those dyno charts were from cbrd. the cbrd dyno is a mustang dyno, not a dynojet. normally a mustang dyno reads about 18-20% lower than a dynojet.

RED ftw. Can't go wrong with either though.

Guess I should have been a bit clearer on that, thanks for pointing it out though.

Gotcha- I couldn't remember which type of dyno read higher, guess its dynojet... so having 440+ on a dynojet sounds pretty nice to me
Decided I'm opting for the BBK Full with the porting options soon as my $$$ arrives! The Red would be sweet too, but since I'm on stock block I wouldnt want to boost really over 28psi, and having no additional lag with the BBK sounds nice, not that I would really mind a little more lag, but sounds like I can reach my power goals and have a bit broader power band with the BBK

CBRD, the makers of the BBK turbo... can tune a good Red

Cant go wrong with either turbo, but I'd go with BBK if you are staying on stock motor.... perfect match. The Red at high boost levels can put out way more than the stock motor can handle... just a matter of time before it pops.

im happy with my tomei. it made more power than the green and spooled faster, with much better mid range and top end. obviously if you are going for big power, the red is for you. the bbk seems to be a step above the ix turbo power wise, based on the numbers i have seen. the bbk seems like 400 on pump, 450 on meth or race gas. problem is, i have tuned cars with bone stock evo ix turbos to 450 on e85. im still waiting to see a big power bbk dyno graph.

I'll be searching for similarly equipped EVOs (one with the BBK Full and one on the stock IX turbo) both tuned on E85 in order to compare the results.

And....? So.....? Modified Evo IX turbos are inherently bad, are they? Please expand on this a bit. Tomei is good. Evo IX turbo is bad. I am sure that you are right. I just would like to get a grip on the substantiation behind your declaration.

I know it wasn't in your plans. But since your solid on quick spool and meth. Then the quick turnaround and the solid numers/reviews of the BBK full and the FP greens then I think your best bet is those two. Good luck in your choice.
