Thumbs up Vishnu Standard Exhaust

Just received my Standard Exhaust system from Vishnu Tuning. The overall quality is amazing and I had a hard time photographing it because it was so shiny.

Box was well packed. About 4' long and loaded with peanuts.

Everything is individually wrapped for you protection.

Ahh, now for the shiny bits.

Mandrel bend with quality hanger coming out of the straight-through muffler.

Exhaust tip and muffler section.

Hanger on the mid-pipe.

Nice welds...

Cat to keep "the man" happy.

More sweet welds...

Business end of the downpipe.

Flexible section on the downpipe.

I will soon be receiving my cam gears and XEDE to finish out my Stage 1 kit. Then I'm off to meet The Wizard, um I mean Shiv, in Houston on October 11th to have my XEDE tuned to my car.

If you want to attend the Tuning Day in Houston go here.

that thing is really pretty, probably the exhaust I'll be doing on my car when I get it. Post some sound clips when you get it on if you can!

Not a 'Vishnu expert,' but I believe that the standard exhaust has the reg 3" dp without o2 housing ellimination, and on the sig..... the downpipe is also 3", but DOES HAVE the o2 housing ellimination. The rest of the exhaust.... high flow cat and cat-back is the same.

evo1,

Nope both are now true turbo-back and go all the way to the turbo. Originally the Signature Series used a convention downpipe but that has been revised.

This is where you connect to the turbo the O2 sensor bung is on the back.

Its the other way around. The standard series does away with the O2 housing while the Sig. series does not. The sig uses V-band style clamps rather than the common flange.

BTW...Good choice on the exhaust. I installed mine a few weeks ago, only mod I have so far. All I can say is I think it sounds amazing. no droning and not much louder than stock, but much more agressive at idle. Performance wise you will notice quiker spool and less drop off after 5k RPM. I cant hardly wait for the XEDE nad cam gears. Its gonnas be a monster.

Bill: When are you going to slap that bad boy on? I'd be interested in hearing what it sounds like, or possibly lending a hand if you like.

Stepping a little OT here, but Bill I noticed in your pics you had your car on the dyno while it was stock. Are you planning getting it redynoed after just the TB? If so, be sure to post the results. Im interested to know what the difference in #'s would be.

Thanks,
Jason

It is on!!! Huge thanks to aov and articfury who helped me from 7:30 to 12:00. Also want to thank sr20det91 for the help on the other thread. Everything fit perfectly and the install was not too bad, especially with all the help I got. 3 guys and impact tools makes this job a snap.

I will post audio clips tomorrow and some picts of it on. I hear MZM is breaking in their dyno this weekend and so I might just have to stop on by to see how much HP the exhaust makes.
