About Mobil1:
Mobil 1 10w-30 - 800-900ppm ZDDP
Mobil 1 0w-40 - 1000-1100 ppm ZDDP
Mobil 1 15w-50 - 1200-1300 ppm ZDDP

FWIW, boutique and better automotive oils through the SL classification carry ZDDP concentrations in the ~1100-1300ppm range. And where that is concerned, I recall seeing a study that demonstrated that just enough ZDDP is good, but excessive ZDDP is undesirable.
Higher ZDDP concentrations are particularly advantageous for steel surfaces that slide against each other at high pressure loads (e.g. shim/bucket valvetrains), which doesn't really concern us. As per my understanding, ZDDP surface action has nothing to do with bearings and soft metal contact points, so if your bearings are wiped out, that's probably another matter.
My factory shortblock looked and checked out quite fresh at 60k miles using 10w-30 Mobil 1 (SM), despite giving over 500whp and being subjected to methanol injection. There was little wear of any kind, and if someone wants to claim that decreased ZDDP negatively impacts 4G63 wear characteristics, I kindly challenge them to prove it.
Now, a BMW S14 or 2JZ GTE could be a different matter ...

Yeah thats one thing I liked about it, it's readily available plus the shop I was going to at the time said they ran Castrol Syntec in all their race cars and havent had a problem with it.
Besides it comes in a gold bottle thats gotta be a few HP right there.

You can try MOTUL 8100 X-CESS 5W/40 which is 100% synthetic. This oil was designed for the newer, more powerful factory cars such as the Porsche Turbo Cayenne. It is a long life oil. I think that I'll try this stuff in my MB G500.

I am sure you can use it, but i don't know how well that performs.
Don't Castrol have similar weight to that? Because Castrol is a decent oil for out engines, along with the others people have stated above.

I don't care much about the price I care about my engine but is a $5 oil gives me protection close to a $12 oil Im inclined to go with the $5 one.

If I were gonna stick with something that was off the self at Autozone, I'd Continue to use the Castrol Edge honestly. But I'm gonna wait to see what David says to use. If he says amsoil I'll give them another shot.

I've personally been using AMSOIL for over 4 years and loving it since then. Redline is good, but i haven't actually raced on it for a certain time frame where i notice the difference from AMSOIL.

Well in that case, then use the AMSOIL. Pretty much the top notch oil for our cars, let along with other cars as well.

I'm willing to give it another shot, I shoulda ran it for a few cycles I guess before coming to a conclusion.
