using Mobil 10-30 since day one but i have been hearing good things about ENEOS motor oil so i might give that a try

the dominator TTP mentions is from our AMSOIL line of racings oils, dominator oil comes in 10w30 and 15w50 these oils are meant to be pounded on you can throw anything at them, NOS, meth with water injection, lots of boost which creats heat the RD oil willstand up to the heat turbos throw at the oil.

we use amsoil 10w-30 in 2 liters, 20w-50 in 2.3's, and 75W-90 i trans/diff/etc

AMS oil, Schaffers, or Redline are all excellent oils. The best auto parts store oil is Mobil one and Valvoline VR 1 racing oil. Mike Reichen's engine builder recommends Schaffers. After 1 season of putting down between 900 and 1,050 whp his bearings looked mint. Another thing to consider is he does standing mile events and he does not have an oil cooler. The oil is doing it's job pretty damm good. Class One builds 4g63's as well as tractor pull diesel motors with compound turbo set-ups running 100 psi of boost. He said the bearings looked best when running Schaffers vs. AMS oil, Redline, or Royal Purple. The thing to remember is these true racing oils don't have as many detergents as street oil. Because of that the oil should be changed more frequently. I normally change it once a month or every 3000 miles. For cars under 600 whp changing it every 3000 miles is fine. For track cars running race gas with high boost making some serious horsepower, to change the oil more frequently is a cheap insurance policy vs. rod bearings or a bad oil pump from dirty oil.

Also cars running E85 should be running oil suited for Alcohol. Check with the manafacture which of there oil is made for alcohol. Schaffers synthetic blend and Valvoline VR1 racing oil are both recommended for alcohol.

Currently using Amsoil 10-30... have also ran Redline and the stock Mobil 1 10-30, but plan on sticking with Amsoil

I just started running Elf/Total oil...100% synthetic Quartz Racing 10w-50 $7-8.00/L I have only been running it for 500 miles, but so far the engine seems like it is running fairly smooth. I do not have much to compare it to though since I changed out cheap break in oil for the Elf. I can get it locally, cost is lower then some others and they told me Elf developed the oils for Formula 1, so I thought I would give it a try. Remember when you are researching, that there is a difference between "Fully Synthetic" and "100% Synthetic". "Fully Synthetic Oil" is only required to be 30% Synthetic, this is one of those marketing twists, that fools customers and causes confusion. Mobil 1 Super Synthetic for example is a Fully Synthetic oil, and is not 100% synthetic.
