how far to push a Green and 680's on pump?
I picked this car up a few weeks ago and want to dig into it now because i think it has alot more in it then current.
The tune is pretty rich IMO. Sitting low 11's to high 10's in most spots. Currently running 680's on a walbro 255 and stock FPR. All other supporting mods are done except cams.
I did some datalogging last night and looks like at a higher ramp and then down to 21 PSI the highest duty cycle I saw was mid 60's to possibly a 70%.
I run 93 pump religiously and wondering how far i can push the duty cycles and boost level before having to worry. These are Precision if it matters. Do they "say" not to go over %80?
Im thinking like 25-26psi on pump would really wake this thing up, but kinda want some opinions first.
Also I dont get any knock at 21psi. I saw a few counts of knock at like 15psi or so when my EBC was off by accident. not much though, like 9 cts from a couple gear pulls.

ive never heard of tuning a car with a duty cycle of only 60-70%. I was on stock injectors and my cycle was at 98% i belive and wasnt knocking at all, and i was also on a stock IX turbo.
On a green you should deffinetly be able to run more boost, since you have the fuel there. I dont no how good 680's are going to hold up thou, you might max them out.
Watch your AFR's threw redline, and see if its knocking anywhere when you crank the boost up. If it starts to knock, and your cycle is only at max 80% then your going to have to do bigger injectors and maybe a fuel rail.
I no greens run awsome 26-28psi so i would try some more logging and see where the problem lies, because you can deffiently run your injectors to at least 90% with no problems depending on knock.
good luck brotha.

Nine counts of knock is alot. Put cams in the car and re-tune. That will wake the car up more than just turning up the boost. Your injectors still have alot of room left.

Most with the Green are running 25-26 lbs on 93 pump safely. That is what i am tuned for. Well, almost. I have a 27lb spike then hold steady at 26 till redline at 7800.
I am on 780s and hitting 89% duty at 7500 so I am not sure your 680s will handle 25-26 lbs of boost.
I assume you could easily run 24 though.

Ok, so running a higher duty cycle every now and then isnt all that bad.
Ill prob keep it at 21psi for the street and then pump it up a little for the track or tinkering around
Also on the knock counts. Again, these were only on low boost if that makes sense. Like running off the wastegage I caught those.
9 counts to me doesnt sound like much because I know you can pick up noise somewhere else to cause that, but if everyone here thinks that is out of the norm, I will rethink. I dont know how sensative these knock sensors are.
on my regular boost setting though I havent seen any knock yet. weird it would do this on low boost. seems like low boost was a little leaner too.

Yeah 9 counts is kind of high. Knock of 3 or more will start pulling timing.
In EcuFlash there is a "Knock Multiplier". Most have found that my raising the values a couple points essentially eliminates phantom knock. From the factory the knock sensor is set very sensitive for safety.
What RPM are you getting the knock? What load value too?
High load at a low RPM can induce knock.

Ill have to check that out on ECU flash. Thanks for the tip.
to be honest, i didnt catch where the knock was. i gotta see if I still have the logs.
Im not really liking EvoScan because you cannnot pause the datalogs and look at everything as a whole. Its a pain to took at too many things at once and trying to catch it all on a single playback
Ill get used to it eventually i guess. lol
can you attach datalogs on here for others to review?
EDIT. . . . . . i checked the knock multiplier for all 3 parameters and are like 13, 18, 20
What are you guys running?

16 low, 20, mid, 23 high is what I have mine set to.
Raising knock load in the 2500, 3000, and 3500 seems to have helped the 3k phantom knok many of us with 03s were getting.
