I've currently got 124k miles on my 06 EVO IX MR. You know what that means. Time for new clutch, flywheel, timing belt, balance shaft belt, water pump, pull/clean throttle body and replace seals, replace TC and tranny seals, TC, tranny, rear diff fluids, PCV valve and hose. just trying to do some regular maintenance, as well as preventative mantenance with the seals and throttle body. I got 70k miles out of my stock clutch, and only around 50k out of the Exedy stage 1 that's in there now. it's going to be replaced with an ACT HDSS and streetlite flywheel.
my question to everyone is if you've ever had a clutch completely fail on you before you could get it changed out after it started slipping?

HAHA HERE IS A MAN THAT KNOWS HOW TO DRIVE A EVO Way to go man 124k on a 06 thats about 35k a year on that thing thats almost 3k miles a month thats about 700 miles a week which breaks down to 100 miles a day What do you do to drive that much man
and to answer your question I don't think I have ever heard of a clutch just going completely out before showing any signs of slipping. other than clutches braking at the track of course
Oh and sick man I just realized that you live in Baton Rouge, Louisiana My younger brother is working out in there area right now

Everyone with an Evo should drive it this much. It kind of makes me sick when people come on here with a 2003 VIII and only have 30k or less on it. Sure, they sometimes have six or seven hundred horsepower or more, but what good is it when those horses sleep through most days? 124k and his car is still looking good. Keep it up.
