I would still vote that the red would be a better choice than a 3076 set up imo, but good luck with the build.

You obviously don't see my point. Good luck with the set-up and keep us posted.

The manifold should be back from the coaters on Friday/Monday and the kit will be ready for shipment. Just waiting on the coating! Everything else is ready to go!

Thanks!

Michael

i ran the HTA30r on my srt-4 a while back, and now on my evo9.

i love it! really great potent turbo, that provides good spool and top end.

i havent dyno'd the evo yet, but on the srt it put down 446hp on a measley 23psi.

as someone else pointed out, the HTA30 is a viable option over a red because if you decide to go bigger down the road, you dont need to ditch everything (turbo/manifold).

im steppin up to a s366 for the evo tho, so i have the HTA30 forsale if any1 is interested!

I've got the car up on jacks and parts have been going on all week. Is there a good how-to for turbo kits? anyone?

new turbo is on. I have the MBC set so it is just working at wastegate pressure 13psi.....

is this totally safe until I get my tune?

Other than the obvious price differences, what are the true differences between the following turbos:

GT3076
GT3076r
HTA3076r

Will these turbos perform similiarly minus the quicker spool that the HTA provides?

I see your point, brother. I always have. I just wish I had more of "those" dyno charts to make additional comparisons.

if you stay out of boost it is perfectly safe, your injectors need to be correctly sized though

Yes I have 1000CC injectors sitting on my shelf at home. I was still getting really rich readings (mid 10's) even when slightly in boost but still taking it pretty easy.

Yeah i noticed that thing stays WAY cooler than my old megan manifold. It cools off very quickly after driving, you could even touch it after a few minutes.

Is that because of the ceramic?
