ditch the o2 housing for the MAP o2 eliminator dp, you can get it with a external dump as well

 

before this gets locked.
the ebay one is great as well as the megan as you can get them fairly cheap.... or the emp or jmf 02 dump... hope this helps some what.....

So far one person I believe, and 20+ others who don't. If I were to redo my setup it would be for a MAP o2 elim downpipe (internally routed though to keep things quieter). I have a few local friends with them and all have great things to say.

 

I was gonna get the EPM O2 dump but then I found a Megan Racing O2 housing for $100 shipped new so I bought it and I've heard very good things about it. I have yet to install mine though.

 

The MAP o2 housing+downpipe seems like a good idea but in fact it might not be for all. If you need to remove the downpipe for what ever reason then you have to remove the whole o2 housing as well. And need I remind you how much fun o2 housing installs are?

I say get either the Buschur Megan ported and coated o2 housing or a Megan swain coated o2 housing. If you get the swain coated one you might need to port the wastegate hole since on some its pretty small and causes boost creep. But the buschur one is already ported so you shouldnt have to worry about porting with that route.

 

+1, the downpipe removal isnt always a fun task. The Megan is pretty nice, but if you want the external dump, JM fab makes a good setup.

IMHO Wastegate dumps are for race cars not for DD cars. I guess a lot of ricer boys out there would like the noise of the dump pipe too.

 

hey i have an 06 evo mr i am building but will be a daily drive should i do a 02 housing or a dump tube? also which brands are good i have heard meagan racing will crack?

race cars...haha what?? There are a ton of people on here with 02 dumps on stock appearing turbo setups and larger that are Daily drivers...i have 1 on my car...its fine for a daily driver...the dump doesn't sound any different from the megan or any other regular 02 housing till WOT and about 15psi or so...

 

because everyone who DD's there cars are in full boost ALL the time right
