it's a positioning problem....when you hit higher RPM the exhaust gas doesn't want to turn at a 90* angle and it follows the path of least resistance which is right into the turbo, only way to fix it is give the gate more priority on the manifold

Like Tial said, probably positioning of the wastegate. Has a pretty big effect on how well the wastegate works. What manifolds are you guys running?

Yeah, going to a 44mm should help. You could always port the wastegate hole to help a bit.

i have the same problem with the stock wastegate, i creep to 17 psi by redline.

i doubt this is positioning cause... well its the stocker lol.

I'll probably go to a bigger wastegate. My wastegate hole is already a little ported.

like tial said the piping after the wastegate could cause this as well. I ran into this on a O2 dump for the stock turbo. The gasses had to make too sharp of a turn after the wastegate and it couldn't bleed off enough exhaust through the wastegate, which led to this kind of overboosting.
