Blown Engine or Turbo?

Just got done putting on a lot of parts....exhaust manifold, o2 housing, turbo back exhaust, inter cooler with full piping, AEM wide band and boost gauge, new o2 sensor in o2 housing. I was going up a hill on the 1st ride after i got done putting on the parts and my hose going to my waste gate actuator blew off. My car instantly goes into "sputter" mode and check engine light turns on. I pull over and reconnect my hose and pull the battery cable off to reset the ecu. When i start it up agian it still "sputters" and then stalls. I can smell fuel like its flooded..... did i just blow my turbo or engine by the waste gate not blowing off like it should have done before the hose came off? What should i do?

The turbo and motor should be fine. The problem here is, you've installed too many parts all at once so now you have to backtrack through everything that you have done today to make sure everything looks up to par. I would start with any sensors you might have forgotten to plug back in and check for a blown off IC pipe like staatz said. Did you actually hear the vac line blow off or just start investigating as soon as it went into "sputter" mode?

I don't think you would have heard it so it's probably IC piping. Were you in boost when this happened? And if so, how much boost?

Well i did hear something blow off and i thought it was my wastegate hose but now that u guys are saying the intercooler piping then im gonna check where my piping and turbo fit together cuz its was a weird fit so that may have blown off.

please make sure you check all of your hose clamps... the eye check doesnt help either... make sure they are all tightened down.. you may have missed one...

Guaranteed its a ICP if you heard something blow off. When mine blew off for the first time I almost shat myself thinking I blew the motor. Now I carry a flash light a dbl sided screwdriver and a 11mm wrench just in case!!

It should be the IC piping....had that problem for awhile...the only way to fix that is get bigger silicon hose couplers and some t-bolt clamps

I do the same EXACT THING! When I first put my licp pipe on I took the car out for a test run. Couple WOT pulls and everything was fine. Slammed second and at about 6k All I heard was BoOM. (Holy crap there goes the motor) I thought...looked below the car to see any leakage...and saw the pipe dangling there.

My suggestion would be to T-bolt clamp Everything! You can get them at like Napa 5bucks a pop.
