Transmission pictures and diagrams

I am looking for pictures of Evo VIII's transmission and diagrams of it. I am trying to figure out what part is missing so i can get a name and part number and get a new one.

I can see like a gear up near the starter and oil was coming from there. I feel i am missing some sort of cover or something..

pictures and help would be great.

I wish i could.. car is where i bought it. they are looking at it for themselves. I can describe it though.

from the passenger looking at the driver side under the car. I can see inside a metal houseing. I see a gear. Dont know what it is. Its all really tight in there. I see what looks like the starter motor right there as well.

There is a ton of oil that came out like there should be a cover or something on it.

Looking at this pic where exactly are you talking about? left, middle, or right side?
Also just for reference the starter is not in this pic but it would be right next to that black motor mount bracket on the lower right hand side in the pic. See the half round feature sorta facing down to the right? That is the starter inlet area where it would catch the flywheel ring gear. The shaft you see in the middle of the tranny with splines on the end is for the clutch disk. The splined shafts you see on the far left are for the center differential and front cv axle to front diff. shaft. The transfer case would bolt up to that area.

That view port I believe came with a rubber gromet for a cover and is not essential. Seems like you have a blown seal likely item #2 in this picture

If it is the input shaft seal like this ^^ guy said it's a cheap part but you must split the tranny to install it.

part # MB936826 $8.15 dealer cost. The evo tranny is very easy to split and reassemble but you need someone who knows what they are doing.
