Are you running a 3-Speed "Scatter Shield"

I was wondering who here is running them

how you like it?
How difficult was the install?
How heavy is it?
Has it ever actually saved you in a transmission incident?

Thanks, I was looking to getting one as I plan to drag my Evo more at the track....

We've been running one on my friend's built DSM for years, they're very popular in the DSM world on sub-11 sec. cars. Fits well, simple enough to install. Weighs probably 15-20 lbs.

Ironically, I've seen quite a few exploded clutch/flywheel/bellhousing pics on the DSM forums over the years, but not one of them has had a scattershield.

I run one. To me it was worth the extra insurance.

When you need it, it's a lifesaver. Literally. Highly recommended.

Humm looks like I'll have to get this (3-sp scatter shield) and the Buschur driveshaft loop sometime soon.
