Oil on exhaust manifold stud???

i just recently found oil on the center lower stud/bolt that connects the exhaust manifold to the cyl head. Nothing above it or below it... just the stud coming out of the head is soaked in oil. STRANGE... its like its leaking from the hole where the stud resides? Has anyone experienced this? Is there an oil galley/passage that runs near the exhaust manifold studs in the head? Could it have possibly cracked leaking oil to it? No visible cracks on the head and its not like this stud is sitting any deeper than the rest. Was never over torqued either.... just really weird.
No ill effects yet... but i can't see how this could be good...

The exhaust mani studs are threaded thru the head and into a oil gallery. There is a pic somewhere on evom proving this.
Just put some high temp sealant on the stud and put it back in.

Mine for some reason were loose.

Gave each one a good turn or two, have not had the problem since.

Yeah, I had the same issue. I recently installed a new ported mani/ix turbo/02 housing and put new studs in with some high temp sealant. Haven't had the problem since!

I used Red Loctite and never had an issue. I had the same problem when I first bought my car, I thought the head gasket was leaking.
