NEED HELP fast. Plug tip broke

my car started acting funny today out of no where. It seems like a spark problem so i took out my plugs to change them and one of the spark plug tips is broken off. Just the very tip threads and everything else came out fine.

I need some suggestions on where to start to find out what is damaged in my engine.

check post below to see if the steps i listed are in correct order. If im missing anything i should do please post you opinion.

Help me save my evo lol..

If motor is damaged i plan on building it.
If my head is damaged plan on going stage 3.
If my turbo is bad Its time for a RED!!!!.

compression check HERE ARE RESULTS

TEST #1 150 135 145 150

tEST #2 150 145 145 150

noW SHOULD I CHECK MY TURBO

drop a magnet in the cylinder and do a compression check

I wouldn't be running the motor since no one is really sure. I would call a reputable shop in the morning to find out what to do next.

If you don't hear it rattling around it's been been blown out already. Do the compression check, and maybe a leak down test. Definately pull the turbine housing and check the turbine wheel for physical damage. The wheel could be chipped and dinged and you can't tell by shaft play. If that checks out then I'd call it good, but I'm lazy.

Compression check. You may have subtle differences between each cylinder by a point or two max, but if the one in question is really off, then you have potentially ring damage at a minimum. I think you will have already figured that one out by excessive crankcase pressure accompanied by white smoke (it happened to me before). It wasn't the tip that caused it, but the detonation. Anyway, as pointed out, check your compressor for damage. I doubt you will find any. since the tip is so small to begin with, but check for your own edification.

Since the car is running normal again and no weird things happening, IMO everything is OK, but it's your car and I know that it'll eat at you until you know for sure, so have a look and then write it down as an experience.

The two I've seen have come out through the exhaust damaging the exhaust wheel. If the wheel is damaged it's probably no longer in balance... so it may snap the shaft after a while.

Looks like you already know that... don't be lazy lol

iv seen this a few times on a evo4 the lad was drivin it hard and was maped for 100ron and was useing 95 so id say it was detonation that did it ,you might be lucky no engine damage . the evo4 burned out a valve but he lost 3 spark plug tips before it did the valve in
