Honestly, It's only a safety precaution. I haven't found any posts saying someone lifted a head with stock studs at 30-32psi. Only blown motors threads I've found are with built heads. Thats just me, I haven't been looking hard enough or there just aren't many lifted/blown motors with stock headstuds. Don't listen to me though, its just my opinion.
