TOB removal HELP!!!

Hey guys,
doing clutch job

I am about to remove the Tranny from the block, but I am having a hard time trying to get TOB out

I put a screwdriver in the little hole and tried to pry it between the TOB and wedge collar
ive been doing this for almost 2 hours, the TOB is not releasing

any suggestions or other ways???

ok...kinda hard to explain.... pull the fork toward the drivers side and hold it, stick the screwdriver in between the collar than when you do that, push the fork towards the passanger side...

It is easier if you can do it with two people. One from up top and one from the bottom. Good luck. We have all had a hard time with that crap at one time or another.

Easiest trick: use two prying tools, one from the bottom hole and one from where the fork goes through. It's tight to get in there and still be able to see what you're doing, but once you get them both positioned correctly, just twist them both and it'll practically fall right out.

wiggle it, get the fork towards the driver's side, and get a reasonably big flat blade in there, twist while still applying pressure. You might be better served by wiring the fork to a bracket or something over there while you play with it. Resist the urge to pry and deform things, that will only make the task more difficult. When you get it right, it really just clicks out.

The easiest way I have found it to hit the clutch fork or pry on it while prying with a screw driver on the tob, works like a charm.

Hit the fork so it pushes towards the screw driver.
