e85 and gas mileage
what kind of gas mileage is everyone getting on e85. my car is a daily driver and it not like e85 is that much cheaper than regular gas. i been thinking about doing e85. i drive alot and get about 270-280 to a tank on an untuned evo ix

With spirited runs and highway i get like 15-16mpg.
All depends on that right foot
Honestly i don't care about the mpg I'll never go back to normal gas now that I've tasted the e85 and its superior performance/boost holding.

e85 fails for gas mi. you will be lucky to get 18 or so. maybe less if you have a stock turbo. it spools the turbo SOO Much faster than regular gas, that its hard to keep your foot out of it.
requires longer warming up time
i get 200 miles per tank or less.
if its your DD, leave it to pump.

What does it taste like? Bacardi 151 or moonshine?

Smells like moonshine not sure about the taste
I honestly use the e85 for my DD it seems to be easier on the motor than the 91 craptane here. You don't spend any more per mile than you do with 91 so there isn't a cost issue far as i'm concerned.

i live in vegas and 91 is only 2.41 at chevron. last time i looked at an e85 station the price wasnt as big as a difference they said it would have been. i want the added power but want descent gas mileage. its either convert to e85 or get meth

e85 is 2 bucks a gallon here thats a whole 40 cents or so of different or about 16% difference which is honestly about the same percentage i lost converting to e85 in MPG. Even it started to cost me a little more the power adding is totally worth it IMHO.

in vegas its a no brainer.
its extremely hot and the E85 burns considerably cooler, produces more power, and the Evo loves it.
Vegas has over 20 stations in a 20 mile circumference and rebel (which has the good stuff, true E85) has sold it for 1.99 for the past 2 months at all of their stations.
I get about 200 Miles to the tank with some spirited driving.
Just stop holding out you will never look back. Best mod that can be made to a Evo

I average 150 miles a tank on E-85. My Evo is a weekend warrior and when I drive it I don't ***** foot it--I drive it like it is meant to be driven! I am not concerned with gas mileage--I am more concerned with the power benefits as compared to cost (i.e. C16).

beating the **** outa my car, i get about 12.5-13.5mpg, easy driving, 16ish, i give the car a beating about 90% of the time, so my easy driving mileage is still somewhat unknown, lol

i also get around 180 per tank. thing is i compare it to race gas, not pump. then youll see the great benefits. I drive 52 mile round trip 5 days a week, never switching back to pump!
