It doesn't look so much as bigger, just "stubbier". Will the viii lines fit with this housing or do they need some help like with the smaller housing?

A local guy had his tuned on Saturday. He has a IX MR and it didn't spool until 4k RPM. He put down 425whp on a DynoDynamics with E85 though.

That spools as fast as my red, so if it eliminates some or all of the surging, then it will be worth it.

here you go https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...fp-red-hp.html but I think the tune was bad . Even on stock ECU and stock porting it should have yeilded more power.

I don't think the few who have them have gotten around to testing/installing them yet.

But to answer the question i have no feed back on this turbo yet I'm still waiting for some parts to be ported by PPI. But I guess the feedback will come from Jimmy and Junior from The Shop.
Lol. How's your build going man when will it be done?

Spooled at ~3800 on the graph I saw, and he ran out of fuel around ~31psi, was going lean on 255 pump and 1000cc injectors 110% duty cycle. He basically picked up another 60hp from where he was at on the stock turbo and e85 (360hp). Some fuel upgrades and he will be back for another try at 35psi. But initial indication is the Red is good for 75-90hp over stock IX turbo. Also this turbo moved peak power up a bit into the power band, it defintely pulls much better to redline than the stock IX turbo. I think his boost dropped from 31-26psi by 7500 rpms.

This is on a dyno dynamics with zero correction. Pump gas IXs are making 310-320hp and e85 IXs are making 360-380 depending on bolt on mods for reference. Also the 320 hp IX's on this dyno are trapping around 118mph which is probably the best indication of power.

Sorry for the Newb question, but can this new 80mm compressor housing be made to work on the FP EvoGreen turbo, or does it only fit the Red?

+1 on the clutch and headgasket... I'm doing mine next weekend but the clutch will have to wait for another day.

It's going better then I thought. I got an e-mail from Wayne@PPI that he will start working on my port work at the end of the week. He told me that it was going to take about 2 weeks to get all the port work done. I'm going with the same port work he did to his own personal car check it out https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...deo-added.html. According to Wayne the hotside porting and exhaust manifold porting that he is going to do is more aggressive then what he has listed on his website. So I should have the car all buttoned up and ready to be tuned either the end of the month of first week of June.
