Tranny Oil and TC ,Help Asap!

I know that you guys recommend to stick with OEM...But I need my car running b4 Sat and here in my country I cannot find the OEM or AMSOIL..

The Question Is..Can I use a Brand of Oil Like Texaco Havoline or Something on those lines??

I have Used Motul but is HELLA expensive here in my country..

So what Grade Do you recommend for the tranny and TC to stick using a brand like the above ones?!

This is a temporary Oil Till my diaqueen Arrives hopefully by next week or later!

I have always used Redline in my transmission, transfer case, and rear diff. Never grinds or anything and love it - smooth shifting!

Liqui-Moly, and it is available in DR. Just go in and ask for the same weight oils as specified by Mitsu for the gearbox and for the TC.

Here's the contact I googled for you:

Castalosa, S.A. Las Colinas DOM-Santiago

Ave 27 de Febrero 52,
Tel: 001809 575 1942
Fax: 001809 576 3755

I use Liqui-Moly in my EVO VII.

Just glad to help, and there's no need to be waiting around for Mitsu stuff if something is readily available I use Liqui-Moly bcuz that stuff is great for countries that have higher than ambient air temps like the Middle East and I am sure the Caribe is just as hot. Yeah that is quite funny that they are located next to Mitsu. At least now you can go in and price compare, and I am sure that Liqui-Moly has all the stuff you need so that you don't have to bust your cash for Motul, which as you said is quite costly.
