I have an exedy twin disk clutch its been on for over a year no problems. Today I was driving normal and going from 4th to 5th and it just wouldn't go into 5th at all. I have a stock driveline. Hasn't been able to go into 5th all day. 1-4 and R are smooth like butter still, but no 5th. I changed all the driveline fluids a month ago and always use diaqueen and mt-90 in the trans. I won't go into 5th while rev matching or even when the car is shut off. 52,000 miles.

Can anyone help me out?

i feel your pain. i have the same exact clutch and yesterday for some reason i cant get into 6th gear...i have no clue what the problem is..let me know if you find out

Did you guys miss those gears really bad recently? Does it feel like a block is there? Or is there a little play but no access?

fork might be messed up...happened to me for 3rd gear but I banged it pretty bad.

Try to adjust the clutch...worked for me.

Feels like its blocked off, won't go in at all.

It's the shift fork or the piece holding the 5th gear synchro. This has happened to quite a few people here. It's not a matter of the cultch adjustment, for if it were shoddy, you wouldn't be shifting smoothly in 1-4. You will have to remove the gearbox and go internal to remove and replace the fork GL

^ True. Time for a she/tre upgrade also get that evo 9 first gear while you're at it.

I don't know it just acts like its locked out, the same thing happened a month ago and then it started working fine again until a few days ago.

I have the same prob for my 4th gear. Its what everyone said, you'll need to have it taken apart and repaired.

Try adjusting your clutch although I highly doubt its that since it goes into every other gear fine...prob going to need a rebuild. Good luck man.
