Blow Off Valve for EVO VIII

Hello,

I got a question aboout BOV for EVO VIII, which BOV do you think its suitable for evo viii? I am considering about thE HKS Universal Super Sequential Blowoff Valve (SSQV) or Blitz DD Blow Off Valve Kit.

Which of the two do you guys recommend me for? Or do you have any other suggestion?

Anyhow is there any negative effect to go for like the HKS Universal rather than the BOV that is made specially for evo viii like the Blitz?

I am kinda new with turbo and really need a suggestion. I'm considering of buying the BOV in there couple of days. Thanks a lot for the info. God Bless

All the universal part means is that you have to have an Evo specific flange (or 2g dsm flange) for the HKS SSQV, so there's no disadvantage due to it being 'universal'. However, I have that BOV and am not entirely happy with it (though it sounds pretty cool). Thinking of just going back to stock, actually. Don't know much about the blitz though.

i have the forge recirc valve and im not too happy with it, though i think mine is just a defective unit because it acts the opposite as everyone else. Mine makes a solid woosh at part throttle and low boost and a fluttering sound at full boost or high boost. i want to switch to the hks super sequential but i want to know if the fact that its vta really makes a big difference. Will my cars performance be lowered or will i just have to deal with the fact that my cat will have to be replaced after a while?

You need to loosen the adjustment screw of your BOV (unless it doesnt have one).

I have a greddy type s kit for a 2g. It's ok, any time you shift no matter how much boost you make it has a crisp whisle sound. But there is a problem with the engine stumbling like when you are going through a drive through or stuck in stop and go traffic.
