Car Not Starting after putting HKS exhaust on !! Help !

Wuz Good Everyone !!!

well last night a couple of friends and I put on my new exhaust and jdm bumper !!

After hours of work with no food, we were ready to go to a meet and when we tried to turn on my car, NOTHING !!!!!! Car was just cranking..... After some speculating we tried checking out the fuses and tried a rolling start but still failed !!! So whatever, called a flat bed and got towed from jersey to new york ....

My Mechanic just gave me a call and told me he beleives there is a shortage because a fuse ( not sure which one ) kept blowing. Told me that he made need to further check it out and it may cost me about $300.00 to fix ....

Anyone have any ideas of what may have happened ??? Is there a possibility that we accidently touched the alternator with a magnetized peice of metal ??? Is it possible that we messed around with the 02 sensor under the car the wrong way ??? Anyone have any suggestions ???

I cannot think of any logical reason why doing an exhaust install that the car wont start.
There should be nothing in that remote area what soever that could cause that that I am aware of.
Also the 02 sensor wont keep it from starting. will just throw codes and prob dump fuel.

You getting spark and fuel?

Questions: Are you running a test pipe? If so what position is your o2 sensor in? Is it constantly touching the under body of you car? If this is the case the contact will cause the number 8 fuse in your engine bay fuse box to blow and you will get the condition you described. try rotating your test pipe so the sensor is at a different angle, replace the fuse and (hopefully) start it up.

Shorting the wires because of an exhaust is almost always the rear o2 sensor FYI.

could have hit the starter with the downpipe causing some electrical issues as well. almost any time i work on my car i unhook the battery just to be on the safe side. so what you gotta reset the radio stations n clock.
