White smoke that smells like fuel?

Here is the problem I am having. I had an atp 35r setupand decided to turn it into a full race setup with an 82 t3 housing and switch to a tial 44mm with a 13lb spring in it. Got it all together and left my boost on the same what it was before (27psi tuned). I did one pull and it spiked real high (34psi). I did another pull and got the same thing so I brought the car home and left it and the next day I started it up let it warm up a minute and it had some white smoke coming out the exhaust that smelled like fuel not oil or coolant/water. The smoke decreased as I drove the car more without getting into boost. I do have an exhaust leak at the v-band could that be why it is smoking and running pig rich? Could I have blown my turbo? Lifted head or blown gasket? Just wanted to get some other opinions

Do you have head studs in there? If not, you may have stretched the stock ones. Does the white smoke disappear altogether after you drive around for a bit?

No idea what the smoke is, but I can tell you this, change out your wastegate spring first thing in the morning. Tial gates are one of the best ones out there, and with a 44mm, you don't really need a strong spring to get the psi you are looking for. Start with 8.7psi spring (big yellow) and work your way up. Your boost spike might have stretched your stock head studs as m4lki3r put it, thus your white smoke problem is most likely related to your boost spike. Do a compression test, then lift the head and do a visual inspection, if everything is good (hopefully they are), change to APR studs, get a new head gasket, and the wastegate spring and you are good to go. Good luck.

no. I believe I fixed the problem the oil line going to the oil pan had a small kink in it there for leaving some oil behind and burning it up so far no smoke after that was fixed. I appreciate everyones help thanks for everything guys.
